Hometrack continues Australian build-up with further hires
Hometrack Australia continues to quickly establish a presence in the Australian mortgage and finance market, appointing Mark Love and Jamie Pullen as Sales Manager and AVM Performance Analyst respectively.
Hometrack is the UK's leading provider of Automated Valuations, and when the company established its Australian operations in September, it made clear its mission to become the country's number one Automated Valuation Model (AVM) provider.
Mr Love and Mr Pullen will join the newly-established team of Brendan Darcy, CEO of Hometrack Australia and Sales Director Paul Brock.
Brendan Darcy said: "We are pleased that Mark and Jamie have come on board and we now have the basis of an excellent team with significant local market knowledge and presence."
Mark Love has joined Hometrack Australia as Sales Manager, having most recently worked with RP Data in its AVM team. Mark has over ten years of experience in software services sales, and has a deep knowledge of AVMs and strong relationships in the Australian lending market.
Hometrack Australia has also contracted Jamie Pullen as an AVM performance analyst. Jamie has an MA from Oxford and an MBA from AGSM, and is currently completing his doctorate at UNSW, which included modelling house prices in Sydney.
"Hometrack is now ready to capitalise on the need in Australia for an AVM that is accurate and provides instant valuations on both a point of sale and portfolio basis. Hometrack’s AVM is distinctly different, and we believe markedly superior, from what is currently available in this country." said Mr Darcy.
"Hometrack's AVM enables quicker, cheaper and more efficient services and we believe lenders and insurers will embrace our AVM as a powerful risk management and portfolio valuation tool.
"Our AVM has the ability to fundamentally change the way brokers and lenders do business. For the last six months we have been rigorously and successfully testing Hometrack’s AVM with key players in the Australian residential property market." said Mr Darcy.
AVMs are computer-based systems that provide instant valuations on residential properties. In the UK, Hometrack delivers automated valuations and risk analytics to over 90% of UK mortgage lenders.
Graeme Winser, Director of New Market Strategies for Hometrack, and who is currently based in Australia to oversee the startup of operations, said: "The key to Hometrack's success in the UK is the high degree of confidence users have in the rigour and accuracy of Hometrack's AVM. In a risk-averse industry, Hometrack's advanced methodology and constant technological innovation set it apart from its competitors. We are now in a position to deliver this level of service in Australia."
